David Lalic was admitted as a solicitor in April 2002.  David began working with Peter Jackson in late 2001.  In February 2008, David and Peter formed the firm Jackson Lalic Lawyers. 

David has always worked in the areas of insolvency, commercial litigation, concentrating on banking and finance litigation.

Between 2006 and 2007 David took extended leave and lived and worked in Europe.  During this time, he gained firsthand experience of how large European law firms and the Crown Prosecution Service work.  This experience allows David to take a wider perspective in considering clients’ problems.

During his time in Europe, David took the opportunity to meet with a number of companies that have an interest in funding Kyoto protocol projects.  We anticipate that that knowledge will be of invaluable assistance to clients as Australia joins the world community in trading carbon credits.

Since returning to Australia, David has continued his work in banking and finance litigation with a greater emphasis on insolvency.  David acts for a number of receivers and liquidators and regularly advises in relation to the day-to-day aspects of insolvency matters.
