Yarrangah v National Australia Bank Limited
Comments by Justice Young in a recent Supreme Court case, Yarrangah Pty Limited v NAB (11 February 1999) (the "Yarrangah case") have given borrowers the hope that there may be a 'court of last resort' when it comes to a decision as to who should sell their property.

Wongala Holdings Pty Limited v Beynon & Others
On 25 March 1999 the Court of Appeal delivered their decision in Wongala Holdings Pty Limited v Beynon and Others. This is a case taken by a client of the firm against Mr & Mrs Beynon the solicitors who acted for them on a sale of land with Mr & Mrs Beynon and the Registrar General.

Robert Luka & Ors v Strata Sphere Pty Ltd
Federal Matistrates Court 13 September 2006
A client company sought to bankrupt three parties against whom judgment had been entered following failure to meet a payment date in a settlement agreement. The debtors attempted to set aside the Bankruptcy Notices on the basis that a stay was in place and that only one notice should have been served. The Court decided that there was no stay and that it was prudent to issue three Bankruptcy Notices (one for each of the debtors) rather than one single notice.
