On 19 July 2010 William Susanto instructed counsel in the Supreme Court of NSW to register in New South Wales a Solomon Islands judgment so that the client could recover his judgment debt in New South Wales.

Jackson Lalic asked to assist Sydney organisation
A Sydney organisation that assists people who have been injured in motor vehicle or industrial accidents, is beginning to expand its work to help those that are in difficulty with financial institutions. The organisation has asked Jackson Lalic to help with this expansion in their activities. All of us at Jackson Lalic are delighted to be involved in more work that will assist borrowers understand the financial transaction that they have entered into and where possible, assist them with dealing with the financial institutions with which they have relationships.

Changes to Trade Practices Act from 1 July 2010
On 1 July 2010, changes to the Trade Practices Act come into force. These are national unfair contract provisions. They will apply to both new consumer contracts and those renewed or varied on or after commencement. All businesses should immediately review their standard form consumer contracts to ensure that the terms comply with the new legislation.

Successful injunction restrains landlord from taking possession …
On Friday 7 May 2010, William Susanto prepared an urgent injunction application to restrain a landlord from taking possession of a leased business because of the state of the building. William briefed Counsel to appear before the Court for the urgent hearing. To the relief of the client tenant, William and the barrister he briefed, were successful.

Australian Employee Buyout Centre
Jackson Lalic have been appointed the solicitors for the Australian Employee Buyout Centre. The Centre will assist companies that are not doing well to rearrange their affairs so that employees take a stake in the company and hopefully help the business survive. We are delighted to be involved in this important work.
